Another Hollywood couple bites the dust it seems as actress Paula Patton and singer Robin Thicke have announced they are to split.
The couple, who were childhood sweethearts, have chosen to end their 20-year relationship with Thicke’s new found superstardom thought to be the cause. The soul star and his wife were all smiles back in January at the Grammy Awards, even posing up with fellow marrieds Beyonce and Jay Z, but clearly the cracks in their already increasingly strained relationship were just too big to fix.
Though Thicke has been a respected musician for years, it was only last year after teaming up with Pharrell Williams for his smash hit ‘Blurred Lines’ that the world truly began to take notice and his fame surpassed that of his actress wife.
Unfortunately, that fame also came alongside a new, sleazy image of Thicke that saw him anger feminist groups with his overtly sexual lyrics, grind up on Miley Cyrus at the VMAs and get caught in a number of compromising scenarios with women that were not his wife. The couple, who have a three-year-old son Julian, are yet to comment on their split.
