Who died and was reborn after seeing this year’s acts at Coachella? We definitely did! Without a doubt, Beyoncé filled everyone’s social media with her incredible headliners and carnival vibe performances. Queen B, led an army of powerful, female dancers dressed in military themed costumes with a brass band. She brought out the likes of sister Solange (who she accidentally dropped after attempting to pick up) and husband JAY-Z. Bey dazzled us with an R&B reunion of Destiny’s Child, sending the audience into an uproar as she joined the stage with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

The 36-year-old amazed fans with her varied outfit changes paying homage to black power. Weekend 1 and 2 featured completely different looks as the singer teamed up with Olivier Rousteing a creative director at Balmain, to create her political costumes. Designs included a headdress and full costume inspired by Queen Nefertiti – one of ancient Egypt’s most powerful and historical women and an outfit representing Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity – to highlight the black colleges and universities in the US. Amongst the changes in clothes one fan spotted Beyoncé had accomplished a change in nail colour during her set… now that’s dedication!
