Every Thursday and Friday: Jazz at the Waldorf Hilton (London)

Everyone loves a touch of nostalgia, right? And if you’re too young to have experienced the glamour of the 1920s jazz age – which, we’re guessing, is many of you – you’re getting your chance this Winter, as the Waldorf Hilton will host twice weekly free jazz nights in collaboration with Blue Rose – one of London’s rising jazz acts.

Thursday sets will feature many of the classics from 1908 to 1950, with hits from Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday taking centre stage. Fridays will take on a more modern twist as Blue Jazz adds the likes of Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams, Dua Lipa and Beyoncé to her sets. Fancy winter date option? We think so…

10th – 19th: EFG London Jazz Festival (London)

The 25th anniversary of EFG London Jazz Festival will be marked through a series of events across a variety of venues, from the Barbican to Royal Festival Hall and more. Pride’s suggested highlights include the famous Harlem Gospel Choir at the Southbank Centre (17th) and three-time Grammy Award-winner Dee Dee Bridgewater on the 16th, filling Cadogan Hall with Memphis-influenced jazz vocals that will no doubt leave you wanting more.
