Hidden Voices at London’s Southbank

Get a dose of culture this month as London’s Southbank hosts Hidden Voices with the BBC Concert Orchestra. Part of ‘The Rest is Noise’ concert series, Hidden Voices spotlights the voices of those who fought for black emancipation in the early 20th century.

Among the performances on the night are William Grant Still’s pioneering ‘Afro-American Symphony No.1’ as well as music from Jamaican-born baritone Willard White and tenor Noah Stewart, who became the first black musician to top British classical music charts in 2012.

Hidden Voices takes place Sunday 24 March 2013 at 7.30pm

Queen Elizabeth Hall (South Bank Centre), South Bank Centre Belvedere Road, London SE1 8XX.
