The Olympics are set in go in sunny Rio and making headlines are the USA Women’s gymnast team who won Gold in the team finals. Making up the championing team: Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas, Madison Kocian, Laurie Hernandez and Simone Biles.
Many American’s took to twitter to congratulate the young ladies on their win but also brought to light, how Americans will cheer and root for PoC in their teams, but won’t give them the same treatment as their citizens. With the social climate in America heating up, as the presidential election nears, we can see how restless and tired Americans are becoming. None the less the diversity in the USA team is a reflection of why the USA works so well, so we congratulate the girls on their win!
