On Friday 15 July 2016, the “Black Lives Matter” campaign made it’s way into Huddersfield, St Georges Square, protesters spoke to Kirkless Local Tv about making changes that surpassed them, many commented on coming together in solidarity. The #Blacklivesmatter campaign has been making significant waves across the globe as many people have become tired of police brutality and the injustice towards the black community. After all it’s only when people rise up against despotism and come together things will change, no matter the size of the group, the voices of the Kirklees people were heard!
