Mugabe rival pulls out of election

Zimbabwe’s opposition leader Tsvangirai quit the presidential elections to spare the lives of this threatened supporters. Speaking out against Robert Mugabe’s “genocide” he told the voters “we’ll no longer participate in this violent, illegitimate sham of an election.” He said his decision was motivated by the extreme violence by militants from the ruling Zanu-PF party.

Anger over suggestion that mixed raced is not black
Columnist, Yasmin Alibhai Brown sparked controversy claiming that mixed-race people are not black. Commenting on Barack Obama calling himself black she wrote he had rejected his white mother by not identifying himself as mixed-race. She said white parents have been systematically ‘rubbed’ out by the label black that distorts people’s identity.

Ex-BB contestant Makosi has spoke out in defence of evicted housemate, Alex De Gale after a hate campaign of death threats and complains. She feels that Alex was “stitched up” and that all black women are unfairly targeted on Big Brother. It takes one to know one eh?!

A top aide to the London Mayor quit after causing outrage with a racist comment. James McGrath, his deputy chief of staff, said he would accept an “exodus” of Caribbean migrants, adding, “Well, let them go if they don’t like it here.” What a warm welcome!
